Steady return in a profitable market

The Nordic region is looked upon by many as a miniature-global economy. With high technology saturated societies, the countries of Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland all possess various industrial heritages that remain important even today.

The various Nordic countries are small open economies with long traditions in foreign trade. In their global efforts, the various Nordic companies have typically positioned themselves in regions with high economic growth - close to one third of their total revenues are from Emerging Market countries. As a result, the Nordic index is well diversified both on sector and company level.

Nordic equities have strong fundamentals, and have historically outperformed both Global and European equities. Annual excess return versus the global index is close to 4% over the period from 1970 through 2010.
