If you wear glasses that have a high value, it might be worth getting separate glasses insurance.
What does glasses insurance cover?
In some cases, your glasses will be covered by home contents insurance and travel insurance . The advantage of separate glasses insurance is that you’re covered for losses and almost all types of damage, including when in use and when travelling.

For home contents insurance, the fully comprehensive insurance policy does cover accidents, but only to a limited extent compared to glasses insurance.

Requirements for insuring glasses
When insuring valuables such as glasses, you must show the correct documentation and that you own the item.
You must therefore, among other things, document the value of the glasses using a valuation letter or receipt when insuring them. If you have also bought the glasses abroad, you must have paid the customs duties and fees to the state.
