Get started with Samsung Pay
Samsung Pay is a service for mobile payments and a digital wallet. It allows you to make payments using smartphones, smartwatches and other mobile devices from Samsung
Samsung Pay is compatible with Samsung Galaxy phones (From Galaxy S7) and with Samsung Galaxy watches.
When you have Samsung Pay with the settings that best suit your needs, you can start adding your credit and/or debit cards. When you have added your cards, you will be able to use them when you want to pay.
If you want to use Samsung Pay and need to know how to add cards to the app, follow these steps
One of the options for entering card data is putting the card close to the phone and using NFC to read the card number and expiry date.
This works well on credit cards (Mastercard), but not on debit cards (Visa) at the moment.
On debit cards, the card number on BankAxept is read and this will not work (only Visa and Mastercard are supported).
Until further notice, you need to use a camera to scan the card number or enter it manually. Samsung is working on a solution to this.
Use of Samsung Pay
You can pay with Samsung Pay at all payment terminals that accept Visa and Mastercard contactless payments, both in Norway and abroad.
Samsung Pay can also be used at online stores and apps that offer Samsung Pay as a payment option.

Yes, the device must have a login to use Samsung Pay.
Security and Samsung Pay
One of the safest and most widespread methods used by Samsung is tokenisation. This is a method whereby your sensitive card information (card number, expiry date, security code, etc.) is replaced with a unit-specific “token” that acts as a replacement.
For mobile payments, the token is used to protect your payment information and to reduce the security risks that come with the use of plastic cards.
If you turn off the login on the phone, you need to enter the PIN in the Samsung pay service. After five wrong PINs, you need to wait 30 seconds before you can try a sixth time. If [you enter the wrong PIN] four additional times [after this], all Samsung Pay data will be deleted from the phone.
