Get started with Fitbit Pay
Fitbit Pay is an easy way to pay and simply replaces your physical card with a smartwatch. When you create Fitbit Pay, a token is created. The token is a digital version of your physical bank card.
You can use Fitbit Pay on Fitbit smartwatches.
To use Fitbit Pay, you need a Fitbit watch with Fitbit Pay and a Visa or Mastercard from DNB that supports contactless payment (NFC). The solution requires a Norwegian mobile number.
1. Download the Fitbit app in Google Play or the App Store on your Android or IOS phone
2. Enter your chosen DNB card in the app
3. Accept terms and conditions
4. Enter the confirmation code you receive
Fitbit Pay is now ready to use.
You can add all DNB Visa and Mastercard cards that support contactless payment, look for the contactless symbol on your card.
Use of Fitbit Pay
You can pay with Fitbit Pay at all payment terminals that accept Visa and Mastercard contactless payments, both in Norway and abroad.
Hold down the home button on your watch to activate Fitbit Pay, your card will then be visible on the screen on your watch.
There are no fees for using Fitbit Pay.
No, you don’t need a PIN to pay with Fitbit Pay. However, you will be asked to create a separate PIN that applies to the watch, which must be activated after 24 hours or every time the watch loses contact with your pulse.
Firstly you will see that the transactions are approved on the payment terminal. You will also receive a confirmation by push notification to your phone.
Security and Fitbit Pay
Just like other unknown transactions, you can query it when logged in to the online bank.
We recommend that you get in touch to block the digital credit card that is connected to Fitbit Pay. You can block this by contacting customer services on +47 91504800 or using the chat when logged in to the online bank.
It is possible to block the digital bank card and the physical bank card independently of each other. This way you’ll avoid having to order a new physical card if you’ve only lost your device with Fitbit Pay.
Please note that blocking the physical bank card may also cause the digital bank card to be blocked. In these cases, Fitbit Pay cannot be used.
Yes, DNB conducted a thorough security assessment before adding Fitbit Pay as a new payment solution in DNB. Fitbit Pay has been assessed as meeting all DNB’s security requirements.
If you choose to download and install the Fitbit Pay app, you accept Fitbit’s terms of use, and you thereby consent to sharing transaction data with Fitbit. This only applies to transactions made using Fitbit Pay. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deregistering your payment card. You can deregister your card in Fitbit Pay or by contacting DNB. If you don’t use Fitbit Pay, no information will be transferred to Fitbit.
