The program is for Norwegian ambitious tech companies and products in 3 months. It’s a unique opportunity to explore a potential partnership with DNB, Vipps or Fremtind. Startuplab and the investment

About the investment

Startuplab invests NOK 1-3 million against an ownership of around 10%. Startuplab is open to discussing different investment amounts and ownership percentages in each individual case.
The investment is made through a SLIP (Startups Lead Investment Paper). For all practical purposes, this works as a convertible loan, which means that your business maintains the ability to incentivise employees with shares as well as paying salaries in the short term.
With the investment, the company can apply for all public early-phase financing that requires matching capital. This means that most entrepreneurs can receive an additional NOK 1.5 million in non-dilutive financing.
After conversion, Startuplab makes no further investments in the company. In other words, the incentives then remain the same, since Startuplab is diluted on an equal footing with the entrepreneurs.
