The best terms for mortgages in DNB are achieved for mortgages that are eligible for DNB Boligkreditt AS. This enables DNB to obtain favourable funding in the market. If special requirements for the collateral and loan-to-value ratio are fulfilled, the mortgage can be set up in DNB Boligkreditt as soon as it has been established in DNB. If the mortgage is established in DNB Bank, and the loan fulfils these requirements at a later stage, the mortgage may be assigned to DNB Boligkreditt by DNB Bank.

DNB Boligkreditt is mainly financed using covered bonds. A prerequisite for issuing such bonds in the market is that a rating agency gives its assessment (rating) of the mortgage portfolio. We process personal data when we obtain details of the loan portfolio and transfer these to a rating agency as a basis for the assessment. ‘Green bonds’ make up part of the portfolio. This means that we compile data about the collateral to identify which mortgages qualify as green.
