Using statistics to gain insight

We reuse personal data to compile aggregated statistics of our customers’ total card usage. The object is to gain insights and show general trends about our customers to our partners, companies and the general public. The statistics are produced on an ongoing basis and are based on customer data and transaction data from a sample of more than 1.4 million of our private customers.

The data is reused from our internal systems. The data is extracted and analysed, and then adapted for reporting in the form of aggregated statistics.

Data is combined without identifying individuals, and is used to be able to describe our customers’ aggregated financial situation, such as income, savings and consumption, and it is distributed at a general level by e.g. age group, gender, county and time period.

DNB Bank ASA is responsible for the processing of your personal data.

The purpose of processing personal data is to compile aggregated and anonymised statistics to gain insight into our customers.

We have a legitimate interest for this processing of your personal data. Our legitimate interest is to compile anonymous and aggregated statistics to gain insights about our customers.

You have the right to object to the inclusion of your personal data in statistics. You can do this via the settings in your online bank.
