Buying and selling mutual funds
To establish a mutual fund account in the online bank, you must become a customer of DNB Bank ASA by entering into an online bank agreement. Once the online bank agreement has been signed, you can establish a mutual fund account. When you open a mutual fund account, you are registered as a customer in DNB Asset Management AS (DAM). Your full name, Norwegian national identity number and information about whether customer due diligence in relation to AML has been completed will be transferred from DNB Bank ASA to DAM when you open a mutual fund account.
Your mutual fund agreement and any mutual fund purchase transactions are stored in our unit holder register. If you purchase mutual funds from providers other than DNB, no information about you will be transferred to external producers.
DNB Asset Management AS is responsible for the processing of your personal data.
The purpose of the processing is to offer, follow up and provide a mutual fund account and services attached to our mutual funds. The legal basis for the processing is to be able to fulfil our agreement with you. If you are a contact person for our customer, we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data. Our legitimate interest is to offer, follow up and provide a mutual fund account and mutual fund services to the customer you are the contact person for.
We are required by law under the MiFID II rules and legislation to carry out annual reporting to our customers with the aim of strengthening customer protection and promoting transparency regarding the costs associated with trading in financial instruments.

Due to our reporting obligations, we may disclose your personal data to public authorities or registers and others who are legally authorised to request such data.
When we collect and process information about you, you have several rights under the data protection rules and legislation. This includes the right of access, the right to data portability, the right to rectification of any errors and the right to erasure, which means that we must, on our own initiative, delete information that is no longer necessary for the purpose of the processing. We will always consider any objections you may have to the processing of your personal data, and we will follow up any request you may make to opt out of direct marketing.

Investment services
We process your personal data in order to offer and provide our investment services. We obtain personal data directly from you and the internal systems in the DNB Group.
In order to provide investment advice and portfolio management, an assessment must be made of whether the investment service and the financial instruments in question are suitable for the customer. This means that we must, among other things, obtain information about your work experience, knowledge, education and financial situation, including risk appetite, risk profile and goals.
DNB Asset Management AS is responsible for the processing of your personal data.
The purpose of the data processing is to be able to offer and provide investment services to our customers. The legal basis for the processing is to be able to fulfil our agreement with you. If you are a contact person for our customer, we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data. Our legitimate interest is to be able to offer and provide investment services to the customer you are the contact person for.
We also have a legal obligation under the Norwegian Securities Trading Act to perform a suitability assessment of whether the investment service in question and the financial instruments are suitable for the customer.
