A large share of DNB’s profits go back into society.
Sparebankstiftelsen DNB was established in 2002 and has donated over NOK 8 billion to public benefit purposes.
Sparebankstiftelsen DNB is an independent foundation. The foundation owns around eight per cent of the shares in DNB, and the dividends from these shares are used for various socially beneficial projects.
The purpose of the foundation is to safeguard the savings bank tradition by providing contributions to public benefit and to be a long-term owner in DNB.
The foundation supports initiatives that
- create meeting places for affiliation (community)
- trigger a commitment and participation (voluntariness)
- promote mastering and learning (skills)
- develop role models (examples)
